2012 ACTIVITIES AND HIKES
SATURDAY, May 5th:
Trail Work Day. Meet at the trailhead off Pipeline Road (upper Pine Street, Manchester) at 8:30 a.m.
Bring clippers, loppers and other tools if you have them.
SATURDAY, May 19th:
Jim Berry, an experienced ornithologist, will help identify migratory and resident birds in the Cedar Swamp.
Meet at the parking area off School Street, Manchester, north of Route 128 at 7 a.m.
SUNDAY, May 20th:
Erika Sonder, a knowledgeable and experienced guide, will lead a search for wildflowers along
the Ancient Line trail, in Cheever Commons and in Spruce Swamp.
Meet at the trailhead off Pipeline Road, Manchester, north of Route 128 at 2 p.m.
SUNDAY, June 3rd:
Dedication of the Julius K. Rabardy Memorial Park and Nature Preserve.
Meet at 2 p.m. beside the driveway/mailbox at 280 Southern Avenue, Essex, a few hundred yards north of the Agassiz Rock Reservation.
SUNDAY, October 14th:
Walk Through the Wilderness Conservation Area, from Essex to Manchester and vice versa.
